Themes: Herbs, Potions & Magic Bullets – From remedies to biotech; Disability & Rehabilitation – Changing perceptions & care; Medical Learning – Education & research history. The deadline for the abstract submissions is 20th of May 2025.

A leading historian of biotechnology, Dr Marks will explore how monoclonal antibodies have revolutionised diagnostics and treatment in fields such as oncology and immunology. - Dr Simon Jarrett — The History of Disability: Myths, the Everyday and Tales of the Unexpected
Dr Jarrett will challenge long-held narratives surrounding disability and offer new insights into the lived experiences of disabled people through history. - Mr Iain Macintyre — The John Blair Trust Lecture: John Blair and his Legacy to the History of Medicine
A tribute to John Blair’s contributions as a historian and surgeon, highlighting his work on military medicine and medical education.
