Author: Matthäus Gottfried Purmann, surgeon and city physician in Breslau (today the Polish city of Wrocław, in 17 century a fortified trading city under Habsburg rule, part of the Kingdom of Bohemia). The title of the book contains following text: Fünfftzig Sonder und wunderbahre Schuß- und Wunden-Curen in Pommern, vor denen Belägerungen Wolgast, Anclam, Demmin, Stettin, Greifswalde, Stralsund und Einnehmung der Insul Rügen geschehen, und wie solche nach den richtigsten und beständigsten Cur-Vortheilen tractiret und glücklich curiret worden; vor diesem Anno 1687 nur die Helffte beschrieben, itzo aber nach vielen Nöthigungen vollends herausgegeben; neben noch 2 wunderbahren und merckwürdigen Exempeln und deren Curen zu Halberstadt und Breßlau geschehen, von Matthæo Gottfr. Purmannen, Chirurgo und Stadt-Artzten in Breßlau, mit Röm. Käyserl. May. auch Churf. Sächß. privilegio. Franckfurt und Leipzig, in Verlag Michael Rohrlachs, Buchh. in Liegnitz, Anno 1693. Title translated in English: Fifty remarkable and extraordinary cures of gunshot wounds and other injuries in Pomerania, which occurred during the sieges of Wolgast, Anklam, Demmin, Stettin, Greifswald, Stralsund, and the capture of the island of Rügen, and how these were treated according to the most proper and reliable therapeutic methods and successfully cured; previously, in the year 1687, only half of them were described, but now, after many urgings, published in full; together with two further remarkable and noteworthy examples and their cures carried out in Halberstadt and Breslau; by Matthæus Gottfried Purmann, surgeon and city physician in Breslau; with the privilege of the Roman Imperial Majesty and also of the Electoral Saxon authority. Frankfurt and Leipzig, published by Michael Rohrlach, bookseller in Liegnitz, 1693 (Liegnitz — Legnica, city in todays Poland).

Condition: good. Later bound in hard cardboard. The current copy contains 352 pages — compares to the publication of the same publisher at 1703 that has 12 nn + 409 + 4 nn pages. Our copy ends at the 3rd page of the Case 40 (Observation XL) — that correlates with 304 page in the publication dated 1703.
